Topshop Is Launching an Affordable Bridal Line

When we say “affordable Wedding dresses” you probably think “low quality” or “bad materials” or that the fit will be more mumu than high fashion. And, let’s get real: we understand that. Budget wedding dresses get a bad rap, for sure, but they don’t have to be.

Now that the market for inexpensive wedding dresses that don’t skimp on style is growing, many players have entered the game and excelled at it. It’s no longer difficult to find a dress that rings in under $1,000 that actually looks and feels way more expensive. The latest addition to the affordable wedding dress world? None other than Topshop.

Topshop, a high-waisted denim and semi-sheer lace top mecca, is foraying into Bridal using the same aesthetic that works for their Boutique line: keeping it simple. The five-piece collection features luxe fabrics (tulle, lace and silk organza) and plenty of layering. While some pieces would definitely appeal to edgy brides, most of the collection comprises of simple cuts perfect for a minimalistic bride.

Bridesmaids, don’t think you’re left out of the fun: Topshop is also introducing a selection of 25 dresses and a curated collection of shoes, hair accessories and lingerie.

Perhaps the best part of the news, however, is the price point: bridal gowns start at $65 and bridesmaids styles begin at $160. The shoes? All under $100.

The collection launches in stores and online April 13th.
