As they left Louisiana behind, Melinda and Kyle set out for the island destination that would start them on a new path together. After nearly five years together, the adorable duo knew they were ready to commit their tomorrows to one another and make things official with a Maui Beach Wedding. Surrounded by love, they joined hands, hearts, and futures beside the rolling sea of Kapalua's Ironwoods Beach. Choosing to include a wine box ceremony, Melinda, Kyle, and their parents each wrote something to be locked in the box with the wine. Words of wisdom from mom and dad, and promises to keep for one another. The idea being that, should one of life's challenges become too great, they are to open the box, drink the wine, and read the notes from the past. As the memory of their beautiful wedding day blurs with time, their letters to one another, just as with the wedding photos, will stand the test of time. If the box isn't needed, they are to open it on their anniversary every five years and leave new words of love and commitment to one another. How romantic!!! A darling idea for a darling couple. Though life has a way of testing us, we have a feeling that lock won't be opened for another five years. As they set off to enjoy a honeymoon on Oahu, we wish the lovebirds all the best in the adventures that await. Thank you, Melinda and Kyle, for allowing Simple Maui Wedding into your lives.
