Gloria Ferrer 2014 Chardonnay, Carneros

Gloria Ferrer 2014 Chardonnay Carneros

Gloria Ferrer is best known for their sparkling wines. However, their Chardonnay is well worth a look. A cool climate chardonnay that has little in common with its compatriots further north in Napa.  Flavors of sea salt, melon, and tangerine. A taut style of chardonnay that shows classic elements of Chablis.

Wonky Wine Articles We are Reading Right Now

The growth of wine tourism in Australia over the last decade has been substantial, (Ali-Knight and Charters, 1999, and Macionis. & Cambourne 1998) and this development has been mirrored in other wine producing areas – particularly in other ‘New World’ wine destinations such as North America and New Zealand. At the same time it is generally acknowledged that there has been little research into the nature of wine tourists, their motivation and intentions and how they can be effectively segmented. This becomes increasingly important if wine producers are to focus their activity in the area to maximise their potential gains in sales and long term customers, and if the operators or associated tourism ventures are to focus on consumers who will optimise the use of their services.
