A Walk to remember
Chirping birds,
Burbling stream,
Rustling leaves,
Exist but in a dream.
Roaring excavators,
Pounding hammers,
Clanking metal,
I Hear.
Longing to hear –
The swish of breeze,
Music of dancing trees,
The gong of a temple from far
Spare me-
Please, no more of the fancy cars.
Searching for the giggles while
Children play,
Gadgets or gizmos have taken
The childhood away.
Lost is the voice of a friend,
Tapping the QWERTY -
The new music in trend.
All is lost in the noise,
So, I hear no sounds
If there was a choice
I’d rather rebound.
