L'eau d'Issey Pour Homme

First of all I would like to apologize for the photo - definitely not one of my best shot. Anyway, today I will give my review of a fragrance that goes back in the early 2000's it is called L'eau d'Issey Pour Homme. This fragrance comes from a Japanese designer house by the same name of course - Issey Miyake.

It was 2005 if I am not mistaken, when I first owned a bottle from the House of Issey Miyake and that one is Eau d'Ete 2005 which was like a summer offering or a flanker of the original fragrance. It smelled wonderful, I remember wearing it all day, all the time but half-way through the bottle in June of that same year, I smelled the original and it was like love at first sniff. I knew I have to have this perfume, which I did.

Since then L'eau d'Issey along with Calvin Klein's Eternity for Men, 212 Men by Carolina Herrera and Calvin Klein's Escape for Men became a frequent fragrance (marketed for men) in my wardrobe. Usually as men's fragrance go, longevity is almost always an issue especially if it is citrus based. But this one however is a game changer.

L'eau d'Issey Pour Homme starts off with a very sharp citrus note, it is very strong and almost like the smell of a lemon cleanser. But after I guess 10 to 15 minutes it goes away, and then I start smelling something woody and floral, so nicely blended that it gives off a nice semi-sweet, fresh, and green fragrance. I get a good 2 to 3 hours of projection and a longevity that lasts up to 8 hours. In the heat this fragrance performs and smells even better.

For men out there who loves citrus and fresh fragrance, this is definitely a must try!
