Dior Homme by Christian Dior

Among Dior's modern offerings this one is my first, Dior Homme. And this is another one of those fragrances that I bought not only because it was sold at a very good price, but also because it was hyped. So many people in the fragrance community, males mostly (of course) cannot praise this fragrance enough.

Anyway, am I disappointed? No, I am not this smells exactly the way people talked about. When you spray this on there is a waft of lipstick-like smell or something like a woman's cosmetic pouch. And according to seasoned reviewer Dior Homme owes its lipstick vibe to a note called iris. Iris according to them is the reason this fragrance smells both like a part of a woman's make-up kit and it gives it that smooth powdery scent.

Dior Homme, however, is not all about smelling like a woman's face powder. This fragrance also gives off a bit of chocolate vibe coming from the cacao, which also makes this feel warm and comforting. This is a semi-sweet fragrance that does not overwhelm, so it can be worn even on hot humid days. And on situations when you find yourself in a confined space it will not be suffocating.

Mnaly in its own way, far from testosterone charged musky fragrance, and certainly not a wind-blown aquatic scent. Dior Homme is elegant and stylish. The only thing I do not like about this fragrance is that somehow it does not work so well on my skin. Ptojection (on me) is on the lower end of average, longevity is about 5 to 6 hours max.
