We can't always get what we want.

Ladies and gents, we say our first top 12 goodbye to Lacey Brown.

Week to week Lacey has been frustrating. She has the vocals to back her up, but always sounds restrained. It's as if she is singing to survive, not to shine. Personally, I think Tim Urban should be booted off from Idol. He sang Under My Thumb in a weird, twisted, reggae arrangement and it did not work.

It has been a disappointing week, same as when Lilly Scott and Alex Lambert got axed from the show. Siobhan is easily one of my favorites, and though I'm not an avid Bowersox fan, her performances have been... *enjoyable.

American Idol 9 is still quite a dissatisfying season, and one can only wonder when it will pull its weight. Talents like Andrew Garcia, left in the aftermath of the auditions hype, are unable to surpass the bar set by the judges.

Final thoughts: Still a frustrating week for Idol. At this point, more than one Idol contender should be decent enough, and pitches should be the least of their worries.

*enjoyable-does not make ears bleed
