Tips When Baby Bruised & Bloody

  7. Call your doctor if your baby wound seems redness, swollen, felt warmer than the surrounding tissue accompanied by pain or see any pus.
  8. In the treatment of wounds, avoid using or giving substances that actually cause irritation to the wound such as alcohol, rivanol, povidon iodine or antiseptic soap or antiseptic solution.
Large or open wounds

Well, if the wound is large or has an open wound, which must be done is :
  1. Clean the wound with water as clean as possible so it not cause infection. Consider the situation in the wound if the wound deep or not and how big the wound.
  2. Cover the entire surface of the wound with sterile gauze. With your palms on the screen do emphasis on it for 5 minutes continuously.
  3. If blood seeps through the screen, do not change or discard the gauze. Add a new screen on it and continue to do emphasis.
  4. Immediately contact your child's doctor or take it to the nearest emergency room if the injury happens big or following things:
- The bleeding continues after 5 minutes of pressure or bleeding all over again.
- Dirt on the wound can not be cleaned properly or there is a foreign object in the wound.
- Location of wound on the face or neck.
- Wounds caused by human bites, burns, injuries due to electric shock or stab wounds.
- The wound is more than 3cm long or deep wounds and tissue visible, located on the inside (muscle, nerve bones)
