200) Love Is All Around: The Making of The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1989) by Robert S. Alley & Irby B. Brown
This is the first book to pay tribute to the 1970-77 CBS sitcom, and it includes a handy guide to all 168 episodes.

201) Shirley Jones: A Memoir (2013) by Shirley Jones (with Wendy Leigh)
“In this memoir you are going to meet the real, flesh-and-blood Shirley Jones, not just the movie star or Mrs. Partridge,” says the actress and singer who discusses her career (Oklahoma!, Carousel, The Music Man and, of course, The Partridge Family) as well as her marriages to Tony Award-winning actor Jack Cassidy and comedian Marty Ingels.


202) Live from New York: An Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live (2002) by Tom Shales & James Andrew Miller
The stars, writers and guests recall on-camera antics and off-camera escapades in this definitive history of the legendary late-night show (the book was updated in 2014 with more than 100 new pages covering SNL's fourth decade).


203) 25 Years of Dallas: The Complete Story of the World's Favorite Prime Time Soap (2004) by Barbara A. Curran
As a fan of the original 1978-91 CBS series, I enjoyed reading this behind-the-scenes look at the show. Curran interviewed over 45 Dallas stars, including almost all of the original cast as well as Tina Louise, Morgan Brittany, Mary Crosby, Susan Howard, Audrey Landers, Jared Martin, Leigh McCloskey, Priscilla Presley, Christopher Atkins, Barbara Eden, Susan Lucci and Joan Van Ark.


204) Love, Lucy (1996) by Lucille Ball (with Betty Hannah Hoffman)
The beloved comedienne worked on an autobiography in the early 1960s, but she eventually shelved the project (for fear of hurting her ex-husband, Desi Arnaz), and her 300-page manuscript was not discovered until more than thirty years later.


205) This Time Together: Laughter and Reflection (2010) by Carol Burnett
The comedy legend looks back fondly on her long and successful career in this autobiography, which Julie Andrews highly recommends: "I read This Time Together in one sitting, and when I finished I felt like Carol had been sitting beside me, telling me these wonderful stories of her life. It's funny, it's endearing, and very moving."


206) Happier Days: Paramount Television's Classic Sitcoms 1974-1984 (2006) by Marley Brant
Brant, a former Paramount Television publicist, takes us on a behind-the-scenes guided tour of some of television's classic sitcoms (Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy, Taxi, Family Ties, Cheers) as well as some short-lived series (Angie, The Associates, The Bad News Bears, Goodtime Girls, Bosom Buddies).


207) Top of the Rock: Inside the Rise and Fall of Must See TV (2012) by Warren Littlefield (with T. R. Pearson)
Littlefield, who was the President of NBC from 1991 to 1998, provides an entertaining oral history of the era of Must See TV along with stars from such shows as Seinfeld (Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander), Frasier (Kelsey Grammer, David Hyde Pierce), Friends (Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow), ER (Julianna Marguiles, Noah Wyle), Mad About You (Helen Hunt, Paul Reiser) and Will & Grace (Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, Megan Mullally).


208) The Official Dick Van Dyke Show Book: The Definitive History of Television's Most Enduring Comedy (1994) by Vince Waldron
The first and only authorized biography of the 1961-66 CBS sitcom features a complete viewer's guide to all 158 episodes of the show (a revised and updated edition was published in 2011).


209) Eight Is Enough (1975) by Tom Braden
Braden's autobiographical book about his life as the father of eight children was the inspiration for the 1977-81 ABC series starring Dick Van Patten as "Tom Bradford" (Braden died in 2009 at age 92).


210) The Complete Directory to Prime Time Network and Cable TV Shows, 1946-Present (2007) by Tim Brooks and Earle Marsh
In May 1979, the first edition of this must-have reference guide was published, and in 2007, the ninth and final edition was released. And even with all of the information available today online, I often still use this book to answer a TV-related question.


211) Prime Time Network Serials: Episode Guides, Casts and Credits for 37 Continuing Television Dramas, 1964-1993 (1997) by Bruce B. Morris
This handy reference guide covers 37 prime time serials that appeared on network television through 1993, including such short-lived shows as Bare Essence, Behind the Screen, Berrenger's, Emerald Point, N.A.S., Filthy Rich, Good & Evil, The Hamptons, Number 96 (the NBC remake of the Australian series), Paper Dolls, The Secrets of Midland Heights and The Yellow Rose.
