Chelsea’s fresh-faced look this season have made them an exciting team to watch, according to Jurgen Klopp.
The Liverpool manager takes his side to Stamford Bridge on Sunday and Frank Lampard’s kids remind him of his time in charge of Borussia Dortmund.
“They were really young and people always spoke about that, but they only played because they were that good,” he said.
“Chelsea brought in [Christian] Pulisic in the summer, it was £50-£60million. All the players around him now have the same value. Tammy Abraham is a £60m player, Mason Mount for sure is £60m, maybe more. [Callum] Hudson-Odoi was already that.”
Man United, though, named their youngest starting XI for a European game since 2012 when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side lined up against Astana in the Europa League.
In fact, United have the youngest average age in the Premier League so far.
