This one will be short and to the point. It won't be my typical posts as of late, it is more emotional than anything. I started this blog in 2005 - back then I had no specific intentions for it, just simply to have a place to write. Needed me at such a young age; how much I needed them. At the time my youngest
Son, Sean, just turned one, and, my oldest son, Gavin, was one month from turning seven. This year they will be thirteen and nineteen respectively.Tonight, I had an amazing conversation with Gavin. We haven't always had the smoothest relationship, but we have always made the best efforts to make our relationship better. Recently my son got a job, it isn't his first job, but it is his first job outside of family, or his community center. We were talking mostly about his job, and about some of the mistakes he has made in the last week, and how he has learned from them. During our conversation he said to me how grateful he is for having me as his father; for all the things I taught him. When I got off the phone with him I was so elated. Hearing things like that from our
Children is perhaps the mores amazing thing ever. Actually, the only thing that is better is watching your children raise their children better than you raised them.I love my family. I love my children. I am beyond grateful for the wealth and abundance in my life.
