Lunar Eclipse, Leo Full Moon 2017

The Full Moon is exact at 7:33 PM ET. The internet has been buzzing about this, magnifying that it’s a “Snow Moon” (the traditional name for a Full Moon in February in the northern hemisphere).

Although this may not be much of an Eclipse to witness with the naked eye, depending where you are on the planet, it does have the added drama of a green comet scheduled to light up the eastern sky pre-dawn.

Comets historically were seen as messengers, and this one coupled with the Leo Full Moon seems to light up inspiration. What fires you up, ignites your passion?

An eclipse often presents a spark or a window into awareness; how deeply you explore it is up to you. Pay attention, be on high-alert.

The Sabian Symbol for the degree of this eclipse is “In A Circus The Bareback Rider Displays Her Dangerous Skill” for the Moon.

The audience is what drives the rider to develop skills that amaze. As she practices her art, her goal is to captivate people. She cannot do this however, without serious application and persistence. She certainly has courage and grace, but her greatest strength is a determination to succeed.

Whatever drives your passion deserves your time, effort and the recognition of its importance to you. If you are already exercising this, expect an opportunity or “thumbs up”. If you have not given your desire the attention it deserves, someone or something may light a fire underneath you. You can simply step away or you can seize the moment.

Many people are stepping into action these days, inspired or incensed by current events. It may feel as though you have no choice, as though your very survival depends on it.

If the “Bear” seems to be a force outside of you, consider that it may be within you as well.

When a situation seems extreme and immediate, it is often because we have ignored all the signals leading up to it. Now the bear is at the table — time to act.

You may feel a bit awkward at first, if your habit has not been to make a commitment or step up to a goal. You can do this. Practice is its own reward.
