When those dark
tempestuous clouds gather,
when the chirpy n' curious
feathered visitors fall silent,
when the pearly drops come
dashing down pell-mell,
thanks to an unseen hand
driving 'em crazy,
I tend to hide.

When the sleepy sun
arrives, sending out
bits n' pieces
of golden arrows,
I unfurl my pink petals

and bid passers by,
condescending to glance
at my green rug...
a pleasant morning.
