We all say that studying in a group is much more effective than studying alone. However, many people tend to go off tangent when studying with friends. That's where this post comes in. Here are 3 wonderful tips on how to study effectively with friends!
SET TIMERS
Not many people know how effective this tip is. When you are studying with friends, you usually end up taking an early break and sometimes, you forget to come back to your schoolwork. This is why I recommend setting times on your electronic device, or even a hand-held timer. I have utilised this strategy numerous times and I must say that it is very effective
SET GOALS
In my opinion, this is one of the best strategies to accomplish work. Mesh this together with my "Set Timers" goal and it makes a great combination. Search my blog for a post about checklist-making and it will show you how to make a checklist effectively. You should make your goals realistic but not too easy.
TAKE GREEN BREAKS
When you study with friends instead of watching Netflix or using any form of electronics for that matter, you should go outside. It has been proven that exercise or just a simple walk and being in nature helps your body to release endorphins, which is basically a hormone that makes you feel happy. Maybe even throw a frisbee around with your friends to get your blood flowing. Taking a green break will not only give your eyes a break but also help you to de-stress.
