Today, I'll be talking about dreams. No, not the dreams you have when you're sleeping. It's the Dream which we all have for our future. If there's someone who asks you "What's your dream?" What would you answer?

When I was a kid, I would most likely answer "I wanna be a superhero, be it Superman or Spiderman" I know it's impossible. One of the reasons is because I'm a girl but I still did have wild dreams like those. But now, it's a different story. My dreams are way better now, lol. I used to think that in order to Achieve our dreams, all we have to do is to work hard. I've just realized that I've got it all wrong.

In order to achieve a dream, we need to have faith, luck and obviously, we need to work hard. But what is the most important thing? Chance. Yes. Chances are the most important thing. Without having chances, no matter how lucky, how faithful or how hardworking you are, dreams will never be achieved. I'm not saying that hard work is not important. It is important, but not as important as having the chance.

This could be seen in phrases like "Do not miss a chance given" or "Some things just don't have a second chance" which means that if you have a chance to achieve your dream, do not miss it. Grab it as tight as possible.

Me, I missed a lot of chances and I regret it so much. I just keep on thinking about things like "If I could turn back time" and a list of what-ifs.

After having dreams, we will take steps to achieve the dream. I call the steps as goals. A simple example. One is dreaming to study abroad. The first goal he has to accomplish is to pass high School, then, to try applying for the schools abroad. And if he has a financial problem, the next goal is to get a scholarship. After he gets the scholarship, he begins to have dreams like "working in a big company" etc. Therefore, he'll have goals he needs to accomplish to achieve his "other" dream.

In accomplishing a goal, there will be progress. Take the first goal from the example above. In order to pass high school, he needs to study hard and pass every subject with a good score.

Back to what I said previously. Chance. If he hadn't had the chance to go to school, he wouldn't have been able to pass high school, not to mention going abroad to study.

Above all, the most important thing is prayer. Leave everything to God and He will give the best to you. Be it chance or luck or whatever-you-name-it. If God has given you a chance, grab it. Do not miss any chance given. Remember, regret always comes late. Once you miss the chance, it's hard to grab it back because not everything has a second chance.
