Looking for Inner Peace? Here’s some food for soul
If you are looking to achieve inner peace and do away with stress in your life; here’s a list of ideas you should consider:
In this hustle-bustle of everyday life, we often forget to break to break the monotony and pursue the most important element of life – living. In fulfilling our materialistic wants and feeding our bodies we often forget what is utmost important to us. Therefore, here are some recipes for nourishing our souls.
- Express gratitude
Have an attitude of gratitude, take 5 mins every morning to write down or declare what you are thankful for and then see the magic
- Halt
When you’re hungry, angry, lonely and tired, do not make any decision in that moment because there are high chances of you regretting it later. Drink a glass of water and pause for a while. Tell your mind to practice halt
- Forgive
Forgiveness is about being compassionate and forgetting things that weigh us down. At times, we become our ego that ceases us from letting go and moving on in life. This hinders our ability to create long-lasting, trusting relationships. Wipe the slate clean! Not only for others but for yourself as well. This will also allow you to be at ease, and in the process get your inner peace.
- Practice compassion
Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Expand your heart by practicing compassion towards all beings.
- Build healthy relationships
Your closest people are your source of Love, power, favorite, and inspiration. They are your source of strength in times of need and so safeguard these relationships.
- Invest in yourself
This is actually the most critical part of your aim to achieve inner peace. It is very important to spend your time with yourself. Pursue your hobby, take out time to favorite sport, listen to your favorite piece of music and go for a walk in a park. Love yourself and embrace yourself.
- Be mindful
Practice the mantra of being here and now. Stay in the present moment and breath out your past. Do everything consciously. Spend 5 mins a day to meditate.
- De-clutter your space
A clean and organized space will create a positive environment. Thus, get rid of your junk in both your physical surroundings and your mental core.
- Choose love
Above all, choose love. Love has the power to heal anything!
