5 Ways To Stop Over-thinking

“Over-Thinking ruins moods and kills good vibes.”
-SupaNova Slom

Over-thinking is a human tendency. Most people over think sometimes, but some people just can’t control their constant line of thoughts. Here are 5 ways on how you can stop over thinking.

Pay attention to your thinking pattern

Being aware of your thinking pattern is the first step of controlling your over-thinking nature. Pay close Attention to your line of thought. If you notice that you spend most of your time thinking about past events that lead to worry, recognize that your thoughts aren’t positive and productive.

Question your line of thought

Sometimes it’s easy to get carried away when you’re over-thinking. Whenever you get carried away by over-thinking, just ask yourself ‘why am I thinking of this? What is my core problem?’. Learn to recognize the nature of your thoughts before they work you up into a complete frenzy.

Focus on finding solution to the problem

Constantly thinking about your problem isn’t helpful. Instead, think about finding a solution to your problem. Whenever you find yourself in this situation, always ask yourself what can you do right now to solve the problem?

 Practice Mindfulness

By practicing mindfulness, you can learn to focus your attention on the present moment. This will enable you to reduce stress which may be caused due to over-thinking, take better decisions and stay emotionally calm in the extremely stressful situation.

 Stay active all day

An idle mind is a devil’s workshop. This is one of the main reasons why people overthink. Spending your time aimlessly worrying won’t be productive. Instead of keeping yourself occupied with work and staying active will help you concentrate better.

Reading, listening to music or exercising daily will help you have a fruitful day

Always remember that over-thinking will never lead to anything productive. instead of spending most of your time worrying about your future, do things that make you happy
