  3. Connect with a friend.

    Continuing from the previous tip, socializing is one of the easiest ways to distract you from everyday anxieties, so call up a pal to chat for a few minutes. You can do that by walking together or over a cup of coffee. Stick to fun stuff and try to understand each other outside work. Discuss common interest such as sports, music, movies, etc. And avoid work related topics.

  4. Prioritize what’s important – Finish the tough stuff first

    It is important to ‘PRIORITIZE’ the work-in-hand in order to do a good job without taking the unnecessary stress. You can discuss with your boss and colleagues as appropriate to assign priorities of work and focus completing in order of importance.
    Next, try to get your most complicated tasks out of the way early in the day so that they’re not looming over you for hours. Think of it as a “best for last” technique and you’ll start to look forward to your afternoons.

  5. Socialize With Colleagues

    Set-up a weekly gathering with co-workers, where you can talk about any particular work issue. Use your collective brain to figure out how to do something better, enhance productivity, or improve relationships.

  6. Congregate at the water cooler.

    It’s important to engage with your co-workers on a day-to-day basis. Not only will kitchen small talk free up your mind for a few minutes, but it will also help you build positive relationships around the office.

  7. Just breathe.

    Focus on nothing but your breath for a few minutes to open up your lungs and calm your mind. It doesn’t need to be serious meditation — just 10 deep breaths to help you relax.Breathing exercises — or even just taking a few deep breaths — can help reduce tension and relieve stress. it plays an important role in nourishing the body.

  8. Visualize

    A quick visualization is an easy way to keep the motivation level high. Find a comfortable and quiet place (it could be your workstation or an empty conference room) and use your imagination to think about the ‘good-stuff’. It could be visualizing your favorite beach or analyzing the movie or book scene you like or even your future vacation. Take time to form your own images of the situations and you can then visualize yourself accomplishing a future goal as well. It would rub-off your motivation level.

  9. Turn on mood-boosting music.

    Music can soothe everyday anxiety.A good playlist can do wonders for your spirit, so slip on some headphones and crank up the tunes. Don’t have your headphones handy? Try humming or making your own music. If anger is your issue, go for calmer sounds. Exhausted from all the stress? Choose fast-tempo songs to reenergize.

  10. Take your eyes off the screen.

    Save your spirit (and your eyesight) by looking away from the computer every once in a while. Pick up a pen and paper to list out your ideas or stare across the room to avoid an extra headache.Make sure to take frequent breaks during your day of computer use -and try to shut offline at least an hour before bedtime.Remind Yourself Why. Make a display in your office to remind you of your personal life. Include pictures of your parents, spouse, children, and pet, a photograph of yourself doing something fun, OR a memento that reminds you of a special occasion.

    When you feel you are getting inundated and stressed out, take five minutes and focus on the display and remember the good times. Recall the day each picture was taken. Hold your memento and return in your memory to the day you got it. Now you’re ready to return to work.
