SS17 Style Trends

Now that we have officially reached March, I’m so excited to see this years SS17 fashions coming into stores. One of the trends I’m most in love with this year is the ruffle. There’s something so delightfully feminine about Ruffles, and being a girly girl, it was a trend I couldn’t resist.

A fine line between your gran’s over the top frilly curtains; ruffles are sophisticated this season and ready to take on a whole new Style. With added sleekness in asymmetrical dresses and off the shoulder tops, I’ve already found a few key pieces worth investing in for my wardrobe, this season and beyond.

Making a Statement in Ruffles

With ruffles being such a big statement in their own right, there’s no need to go over the top with accessorising. I found this ruffled jumper I’m styling here as a bargain in the post Christmas New Look sale. For less than £10 this beauty was mine. Not only is styling pink one of the most coveted styles this season; when combined with ruffles it was a winner in my eyes. Also subtle enough in it’s style that it’s a key piece I can wear for daily style, or dress up for more of an evening look.

What I’m Styling

I’m styling it here with an old chevron print necklace from Primark, midi skirt from George at Asda, boots from Dune, and my bag is from Nine West. An all round bargain high street look; perfect for the latest trends on a budget. This is something I wore for heading down to explore Carlisle for the weekend visiting friends for burger dates and cocktails, the best kind of catch ups.
