The Rise of Galentines Day

Is it cheesy to say that you ‘love’ Valentines Day? I’ve always been a big old romantic. Falling in love with old vintage photographs and classic love stories, from books to movies. There’s just something nice about telling someone that you love them, and knowing that they love you too. So why not extend that tradition to your favourite girl Gang and have a good old get together?

Behold the rise of galantines day; a day to spend with your girl gang. For those who make you laugh like no others, who have your back no matter what, and will always cheer you up on a bad day. Plus, who else is going to tell you that you look terrible in that dress that you thought you loved? Brutal honesty and affectionate terms of slagging-off endearment is the truest form of friendships don’t you know.

The rise of the cliché #girlgang has been on the up recently. From the act of women supporting each other in doing whatever the hell they want. For the fearless ladies who exude self-confidence and help build each other up. Sometimes clichés can be a little over-rated, especially when it comes to blogging. But I for one am wholeheartedly supporting the growth and strength of the girl gang. After all, we all need someone to build us up, and what better way through the strength of each other.

Be Your Own Girl Gang

With that in mind, for our very own Galentines date, our #girlgang (also known as Team Burger, because well, we like burgers) got together for a day of excessive cake, sweet treats and cocktails. A shout out to my very own girl gang, you all make me feel so empowered and kick-ass, we’re going to take on the world together. Eating all the burgers life can throw at us in our way.
