Update: A fine summer so far on the claims. Found excellent color on this claim - good runoff last spring. The campsite is clean and accessible. Lots of sign of bear activity - wildflowers are blooming, and berries are abundant.

The Eden's Gate Gold Claim offers impressive mining opportunities. An extensive amount of exposed bedrock as well as the natural streambed support productive gold recovery. The claim is suited for most types of gold mining activities from panning ,sluicing and high-banking to metal detecting, dowsing and dredging.
An adjoining 40 acre claim has been mined commercially and was lasted worked with heavy equipment including backhoes, trommel, dump trucks and dredges in the 1990s.
Outstanding gold recovery was reported. Gold stories are like fishing stories - a fish was caught, but sometimes the size of that fish grows in the re-telling of the story. However, this is a known gold area and recovery was sufficient for the claim owners to continue to invest time, energy and the considerable funds required for the mine's several years of operation.
