Complaint Letter es el writing que os propongo hoy para analizar. Si te estás preparando para el examen nivel C1, ya sea en la EOI o para el CAE de Cambridge, esta Complaint Letter te puede servir de modelo para hacer la tuya. Subject: Hoover (Model No. 2279)

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing to inform you about my complete dissatisfaction with the vacuum cleaner listed above, which I purchased from your store on the 10^th of May, 2017. = good paragraph

On the day I bought it, your customer the person in charge of the customer service demonstrated well that it was in good working condition.

On using it for the first time, it worked for a while but, out of the blue, it would stop. I thought maybe I was pressing the right button or that the battery was flat.

Thus, I decided to charge it once more time. After a few hours, I unplugged it and I pressed the “on” button. A green light lit up and it began to work.

Unfortunately, the hoover only ran for ten minutes, and then, it made a bizarre sound and shut off automatically. I found that it was faulty because it lost its suction.

I have tried to contact the customer service several times but it only opens until 3 p.m. and they are not available at the weekend.

I respectfully ask for a repair or a replacement of this faulty hoover within the next two weeks.

I hope it will be solved soon, otherwise, I will ask for a full refund of the &69,26 retail price.

Se trata de una complaint letter correcta, que se ajusta al registro en cuestión, que es formal, que sigue las convenciones propias de una complaint letter y que además incluye buena gramática y buen vocabulario. Se podría haber incluído gramática más avanzada e nivel C1, pero es cierto que ante este tipo de writings que tiene una estructura tan definida, poco se puede innovar y demostrar, lo único es ceñirse a la estructura, emplear las estructuras propias de comienzo y de cierre, e intentar incluir buen vocabulario.
