In these classes you will of course improve your English, but the main focus is on learning the skills, strategies and techniques you will need to pass your English exam.

As well as intensive exam courses, we also offer part-time exam courses. In these part-time courses in the afternoon you can prepare for the Cambridge English exams or the IELTS. These classes are exclusively focused on exam skills and are perfect if you don’t have enough time to do an intensive course.

Our English teaching methodology:

Our syllabus has been developed by our Director of Studies Dr.Anne-Marie Connolly in collaboration with our teaching staff and in line with CEFR. The syllabus incorporates some of the best language learning books and resources available. There is a big focus on communication in all aspects of the curriculum. When you are learning grammar and vocabulary you will quickly and frequently have opportunities to practice this English in communicative tasks, games and activities.

In our full-time English courses, you will have at least two classes every day with two different teachers. This will expose you to different teaching styles and different accents. There will be a grammar and vocabulary focus topic every week and by the end of each week you will have used various skill to practise this vocabulary and grammar. Every Friday you will have a short test in class to make sure you have understood everything. If there are any difficulties the teacher will then do some revision. To finish the week, you will join with another class and take part in a collaborative task, the famous “Friday Challenge”. In the Friday challenge, you will do a fun activity which incorporates the English that you have learned that week.
