LIST: Cancelled PAL flights on March 6-11, 2017 due to Tagaytay Radar shutdown

Earlier, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) have announced it has to shutdown the Tagaytay radar, one of the biggest navigational facilities utilized by flights flying in and out of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), for maintenance and upgrade.

Around 4000 international and domestic flights scheduled on March 6-11, 2017, will be affected while the shutdown takes effect.   Local airlines like the Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines (PAL) have previously announced that passengers may directly coordinate with their respective hotlines to check their flight status during those days.

The CAAP has given the airlines until next week to arrange their flight slots during the six-day maintenance works.

PAL has recently announced that a total of 150 flights have been cancelled including 52 international and 98 domestic trips.

The airlines said that affected passengers may avail of the following options without penalities:

  1. Rebook their tickets within 30 days from original date of departure without penality provided within ticket validity, or
  2. Refund their ticket in full, or
  3. Re-route to the next alternative nearest point within PAL’s network.

Passengers of affected flights are advised to call PAL hotline (02) 855-8888 to get the latest update on their flight schedules, or go to the nearest PAL Ticket office or travel agent who facilitated the issuance of their ticket or e-mail them are [email protected].
