Federal Govt. Finally Releases Super Falcons Bonuses

The Federal Government of Nigeria has finally paid the Super Falcons their bonuses after several weeks of delay after winning the Women African Cup of Nations. 

The Super Falcons bonuses were paid on Friday through the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, after an approval from the Federal Government.

Speaking with newsmen yesterday, Ruth David, the Head of the NFF Women’s football, said, the accounts of the various players and officials are being credited right now as we speak.

She said, both players and officials will receive their monies in full from the federal government for participating and winning the Women African Cup of Nation defeating Cameroon one nile in the finals.

She added that the Federal Government also released monies for the Super Eagles an officials for the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers against Algeria played in Uyo last month.

The monies paid to the Super Falcons was N5,494,500 each which is lesser than what they usually get. The Super Falcons were paid N6,000,000 but this year’s case was different.

The amount paid was $17,000, converted to naira at the official rate of N305 to $1.

The Super Falcons Head Coach Florence Omagbemi was paid th total sum og 11,014,000, and Super Falcons Assistant Coach Ann Chiejine, Perpetua Nwokocha was paid N8,274,250.
