Non-Stop Wi-Fi Signals in Your Bedroom Can Be Dangerous

Don’t forget to switch off your wi-fi router and smartphone before you go to bed.

Five junior high school girls in Denmark found that if they placed their mobile phone in close proximity to them without switching it off for the night, their sleep was affected, and they could not perform well in school the next day.  This led them to question how the radiation that is emitted from a smart phone affects sleep quality and human health. The five youngsters carried out an experiment to find out.

The experiment was performed in two rooms.  One room had two routers that constantly received and transmitted wi-fi signals, while the other room had none.  The girls placed six petri dishes in each room with seeds of cress and peas.  They observed all samples and recorded their growth for 12 days.  The results were surprising.

In the room without the routers, the seeds sprouted and grew well. Comparatively, the seeds in the room with the routers did not grow well, and a majority died prematurely. The group’s experiment won the science award at their school.

To ensure good health, always place your mobile phone outside of your bedroom when you sleep. Better yet, switch off both the phone and wi-fi router for a safe night’s sleep.
