This particular Life at Rocket Lawyer is very dear to me, I usually don’t include myself in our posts, but I have to do it for this one: I consider myself to be very lucky to have Brittany as part of our team. She keeps me on my toes by always asking questions that are relevant. Her marketing skills and an overall understanding of consumers gives me a different point of view; her endless enthusiasm challenges me to become a better manager and makes me want always to be improving my mentorship skills. I feel like we’re a better team because of what she brings to the table.

Brit is an amazing addition to our marketing organization she’s helping build our brand by bringing her unique perspective; she’s also a great shopping pal and a burger fan.

Tell us about yourself

I am originally from Colorado Springs, CO but moved to Ogden, UT a few years ago. My hobbies include reading, keeping up to date on the latest political topics and discovering and implementing the best puns and cheesy jokes (Why does everyone want the mushroom at their party? Because he is a fungi! hahaha.) I also enjoy writing creatively not only for Rocket Lawyer but my personal blog as well. I have an itch to travel, and I hope to one day be able to travel around the world.

Oh and the most important thing to know is I have an amazingly adventurous tortoise named Vladymir, who is addicted to butternut squash, enjoys listening to music and watching Grey’s Anatomy with me (no joke).

What do you do at Rocket Lawyer and what’s your favorite part about your job?

I have been working for Rocket Lawyer for almost four years now. I started out in Customer Service, dipped my toes in On Call and Incorp before transitioning onto the Billing team. Last summer I joined the Marketing team as the Marketing Intern and recently was hired on as the Marketing Specialist. I absolutely love it. What is my favorite part of the job? I really enjoy collaborating with others on how we can make the Rocket Lawyer brand a household name. Every day I get to work with an amazing group of people who have helped me every step of the way.

If you could have dinner and pick the brain of any famous person (celebrity, politician, musician, etc.), who would it be and why?

I would have to say the Notorious RBG! I learned recently that Ruth Ginsburg and myself share a birthday. It led me to read about her, and the more I read, the more I fell in love with her spunk. She is an extraordinary woman, and I would love to pick her brain on anything and everything (especially on where she gets her fun gloves). I would want more than just a dinner, though, I would probably try and talk her into going to an opera or even a whitewater rafting trip with me (haha, just kidding she gave that sport up when she turned 70!)

Favorite film(s):

Oh gosh. I don’t even know where to start with this one because it’s always changing and within every genre. Lately, I have been watching a lot of my favorite classics that include, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, An Affair to Remember, What a Way to Go, Start the Revolution Without Me, and Casablanca.

Proudest moment at Rocket Lawyer?

Hmmm…one of my proudest moments recently is my transition from being the intern (which really did consist of grabbing coffee for the boss, ha) to a full-time Marketing Specialist. I enjoy letting the creative juices flow and that I am able to show that through my work with Rocket Lawyer. Also, I get to work with a lot of brilliant people what more can you ask for?
