As you all aware, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo will be releasing their next-gen consoles very soon (Microsoft as soon as today), but interestingly, it seems Square Enix doesn’t want to rush to support one console over another, and thus have released this following press release:

“Speculation about the availability of FINAL FANTASY Series and DRAGON QUEST series games on these systems has been reported on various media. However, we have made no concrete decision on our strategic direction of this issue.

We will continue to disclose any important information regarding business operations immediately after we make any relevant decision.”

This sounds to us that they might decide to launch it on all formats to ease overall rising development costs, but of course, we can’t dare to comment on such speculation, and the media they are talking about in that release aren’t us, so don’t panic and stay at Club Skill for more on this interesting saga.
