Atal Bihari Vajpayee admitted in AIIMS. Former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee is admitted in Delhi All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He has been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and is under observation and evaluation.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee is of 93 years old now. As per the AIIMS report, the former PM has been diagnosed with urinary as well as respiratory infection. Yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP Chief Amit Shah and Congress President Rahul Gandhi visited him at the hospital.

Present Union Minister JP Nadda said in a press conference that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was at the AIMMS for regular examination. However, he is currently stable and under the care of a team of experts which is headed by the director AIIMS, Dr Randeep Gulaeria. Dr Guleria is a pulmonologist. There are various other experts included in the team as well such Dr Soumita Bagchi who is a nephrologist and Dr Pramod Garg, who is a gastroenterologist.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee at AIIMS. He was at the hospital for about 50 minutes. He also had conversations with the family members of the former Prime Minister and enquired about the health of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Various other BJP members also visited him. Some of them were Vajpayee’s former colleagues such as LK Advani who is a senior BJP leader, Murli Manohar Joshi and Rajnath Singh (Current Home Minister).

However, Congress President, Rahul Gandhi was the first person to visit Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He visited during the afternoon time.

The hospital’s officials said in a statement, “Former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was admitted today at AIMMS, New Delhi for investigation and evaluation. He has been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection for which appropriate treatment has been closely monitored and treated by a team of the doctor.”

Currently, he is in the VIP CCU and many tests are still being carried out. Last, in 2009, Vajpayee was admitted in hospital for just 48 hours and that too when he stepped away from politics.

Shri Atl Bihari Vajpayee ruled the country for just thirteen days in the year 1996, thirteen months in the year 1998, and for six years from the year 1999. He is still considered as one of the tallest leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party.

While on his last birthday, i.e., 25th December, the entire BJP government celebrated the day as Good Governance Day.
