Some basic differences between the Constitution for the Sovereign States of Atlantis and the Constitution for the United States of America:
- Term limits for the Representatives, Senators, Supreme Court Justices, and the President
- Senators appointed by State legislatures
- Gold and silver coins are the only legal currency
- Power of Congress to regulate the economy severely limited
- Power of Congress to abridge or deny individual rights severely limited
- Amendments to the Constitution of the United States of America added and expanded to the "Limits on Congress" section
- No federal income or sales tax
- Spending earmarks forbidden (i.e. no "pork barrel" spending)
- President elected for one term of six years
- Line item veto added to Presidential powers
- Power of Executives Orders severely limited
- States rights expanded to include an Ordinance of Nullification
- Political parties and central banks are forbidden
- Federal and State governments are forbidden from engaging in business or promoting market competition
