Customized holiday notepads are a very hard to sell right now in this economy. Institutions of higher education may have had a bit of success with custom holiday notepads for students.  We think the reason is because students tend to miss home and holidays by the end of their first fall semester in college. A visit to the online bookstore can be like hitting the ATM machine at a casino.

Universities are now soliciting families for gifts for their children in college. And families are demanding more Personalized attention for their students and at the same time may not want a third party involved in their decision on what types of supplies to purchase. Why not sell personalized holiday notepads? With students missing home and families wanting more for their students, custom Christmas notepads is just the beginning of what the bookstore of the 21^st century envisions. Some parents are sending students to college with personalized sheets. Again, why not personalized Christmas notepads?

Beware then. And, don’t be so surprised if we soon see orders for customized Christmas notepads and such in the next year or two for middle-school goers. This past week, I went to Kmart with my 4^th grader. We had our school supply list in hand. It was certainly customized for the Ames Community curriculum. We did not pick up any personalized xmas notepads, however. With Facebook becoming more popular with elementary school aged, companies will soon find it easy to market customized xmas notepads and all sorts of things to the next generation.
