How to Setup VPN in Android

To setup a new VPN tunnel on your device with Android system you need to do the next steps:

1. 1. Tap Settings icon

1. 1. Select Wireless & Networks and tap on VPN

1. 1. Tap Add VPN Network

   2. Input connection name, select the type of your VPN connection – PPTP VPN, input VPN server address from your account data.
      Server address must be exactly as in your account data (without http://, www or any other symbols)

   3. Input your Username and password that you received from VPN account service in e-mail.
      Save it and tap Connect

When you need to connect to VPN server please do the next steps:

1. Select Settings.
2. Tap Wireless & Networks.
3. Tap VPN.
4. The VPN connections you have added are present in the list.
5. Tap the VPN you wish to connect to.

When you are connected to VPN, you will see an ongoing notification in the Status bar on your Android device. If you are disconnected, you will receive a notification and an option to go back to the VPN settings section.

To Disconnect from the VPN:

Open the notifications panel at the top of the screen on your phone and tap on the VPN notification, then select disconnect.

How to Setup L2TP VPN in Android

To setup a new VPN tunnel on your device with Android system you need to do the next steps:

1. 1. Tap Settings icon
   2. Select Wireless & Networks section and tap More Wireless

1. 1. Tap VPN

   2. Tap + icon on the bottom

   3. Choose L2TP/IPSec PSK from Type menu. Input Server address.
      Input in IPSec pre-shared key field – secret

      
      Server address must be exactly as in your account data (without http://, www or any other symbols)

      Tick ‘Show advanced options’ and enter in DNS servers field 8.8.8.8

   4. Save the settings and tap on the connectin name

      Input your VPN Username and Password and tick to save it

When you need to connect to VPN server please do the next steps:

1. Select Settings.
2. Tap Wireless & Networks.
3. Tap VPN.
4. The VPN connections you have added are present in the list.
5. Tap the VPN you wish to connect to.

When you are connected to VPN, you will see an ongoing notification in the Status bar on your Android device. If you are disconnected, you will receive a notification and an option to go back to the VPN settings section.
