Asher Golf Brings Style to Your Glove Game

From the days of Old Tom Morris’ jacket and plaid derby to today’s perfectly tailored shirts and pants on the PGA TOUR, style has always been a part of our game.

Despite our affection for style on the course, the Golf Glove has remained relatively unchanged. Sure, you may come across a different colored glove here and there, but traditionally, they’ve been white with a logo on the opening/closing flap of the glove. And that’s about it.

As I’ve said before, there are these new, young, and different golf companies that are quickly becoming disruptors in the world of golf equipment, golf balls, and golf style.

And Asher Golf has set out to put the boring, old golf glove tradition a bit on its head. And they are cutting zero corners while doing so.

Are They Any Good?

Before we get into the looks of their gloves, let’s start with the quality of them. After all, if it’s a cheaply produced glove, no cool design or color combo is going to matter. In other words, I’m not wearing something that looks cool but sucks. And neither are you.

As I mentioned before, Asher cuts zero corners when it comes to quality. There is nothing that looks or feels cheap with their gloves. The gloves are made with what’s called AA Cabretta leather. Their premium line is made with 100% Cabretta, while their Chucks and Death Grips have the leather inserted in the palm of the glove to provide the feel and grip we need.

Why does material matter? Because Cabretta leather will give you the greatest amount of feel in your hands and don’t stiffen up like other gloves after multiple uses. And thus far, through a few rounds, my Asher gloves have remained nice and soft.

So, yeah, Asher emphatically and unequivocally checks the box for quality.

Let’s Talk Style

Asher has a lot of it.

But here’s the really cool thing about the styles of their gloves, they don’t stick to just one theme.

If you want a glove that is really different and screams individuality, they have you covered.

Or if you want a glove that is just a tweak of the traditional, they have that, too.

And basically everything in between.

The two I have are a little in between. Starting with the Cobalt, it’s a twist on the traditional white glove, introducing what Asher calls a “contrast thumb”. Meaning, the thumb matches the color featured in the logo patch on the glove and the wrist stitching.

It isn’t necessarily loud or flashy, but man, do I love it. It’s such a great looking glove and stands out enough to get people asking where I got it.

And then there’s my Red Chuck. She’s a loud one.

Tiger may have his Sunday red (and Patrick Reed, too, I guess). But I have my own version of Sunday red. And it’s awesome.

Asher’s Chuck line are less expensive than the afore mentioned Cobalt (premium) and Death Grip lines. The idea being you’ll want to collect them all and start coordinating your look on the course. You’ll be like the Digger Phelps of the golf world…or something.

Anyway, there are currently nine different colors of Chucks, they have a traditional white, a less-traditional but still relatively common, black, and seven colors ranging from my Red to Highlighter Yellow.

The Chucks are also your most common or traditional type of golf glove. They have the removable logo ball marker, the leather palm inserts, and an all-weather leather in the fingers.

Finally, there are the Death Grips. If you’ve seen one, you know exactly what I’m talking about because they are unforgettable. To see one is to want one.

They have a black version and white version and both look dope.

The Death Grips are exactly what the golf world really needs. An injection of skeleton hand golf gloves.

Scratch that, Asher Golf is exactly what the golf world really needs. An injection of new and different.
