Jason arrives home with Francis´s carrier in hand.

His girlfriend, Missy, is in his house waiting for him and greets him at the door.

Missy: hi baby.
Jason: hi honey. Sorry if I made you wait too long.
Missy: No worries. So… is Francis okay?

Jason: yeah, he´s great. Doc. said he´s fit as a bull.
Cat (from inside his carrier/bitching): bull my ass!

Francis keeps yapping but Jason ignores the cat´s rant.

Missy: what´s the matter with him?
Jason: he spent the entire trip home like that.

Jason sets Francis´s carrier on the floor and opens the door for him to come out.

The cranky feline takes his sweet time.

When he finally exits the carrier, Jason picks him up.

Jason: Now Francis…

Francis licks his face.

Jason is incredibly disgusted.

Missy (notices Jason´s face): what´s the matter honey?
Jason (sickened): He just licked my face…
Missy (playful): so what?

Jason: he spent the entire trip home licking his butt…
Missy (disgusted): oh…

Francis jumps out of Jason´s arms and runs off.

Jason (points to the bathroom): I´m…
Missy: yeah…

Latter

Jason is set to leave the house with Missy and comes into the living room, where Francis is, with a bowl in his hand.

As he nears Francis, the feline´s ears go up in the air.

Cat: Touch me right now, and your next trip is to the emergency room…

Missy (curious/notices Jason carrying something in his hand): what´s that?
Jason: an apology.
Missy: Apology? (gets it) Oh…

Jason: yeah… (to Francis) this is my apology.
Cat: I hat…

As Jason sets the bowl down in front of Francis, the cat´s nose goes up in the air as the sweet scent he loves so much reaches him.

Cat (cont.): crap! You know me too well.

Francis gets off his butt and nears the bowl as Jason looks on, proud of himself for knowing his cat so well.

Francis starts to drink his favorite nectar.

Missy: should you be giving him that?
Jason: trust me, he deserves it.
Missy: does he know?

Jason (putting his index finger to his mouth): Sh… he can never know.
Missy: what?
Jason: He´s clueless and I want him to remain that way.
Missy: Oh okay.

Francis, the cat, is drinking his favorite nectar feverously but his ears are up in the air, highly aware.

His curiosity spikes as he notices the humans starring down at him.

Cat (clueless): what?
Missy: Poor Francis…
Cat: why?
Jason: he´ll be okay.

Cat: hello? Why poor Francis? What did I do? What happened?
Jason (pets him): I love you buddy.
Cat: Okay…

Missy: I was looking forward to becoming a grandma.
Jason: Honey, come on…
Missy: what?

Jason: didn´t you take care of Amelia years ago?
Missy: Oh yeah, I forgot about that…

Francis is curious and nears the two humans.

Cat: hello? You two! Why poor Francis? What did I do?

Jason pets him.

Jason: I´m really proud of you buddy.
Cat: why?
Jason: I´ll see you later, okay?

Cat: … okay…
Missy: You were such a good boy Francis…
Cat (confused): I was?

Jason: Bye Francis.
Missy: Bye Francis.
Cat: bye… I guess…

Jason and Missy leave.

Cat (utterly confused): what were those two ranting about?

Francis notices he still has some of his beloved nectar left in his bowl and his mouth waters with anticipation.

Cat (cont.): Ah who cares! Crazy humans…

Francis, the cat, resumes eagerly drinking his favorite beverage.
