Robin Williams’ Daughter, Zelda Williams, Is All Grown Up And Working As An Actress

We are where nostalgia lives

Zelda Williams was born to the late Robin Williams and Marsha Garces Williams in 1989. She is doing her father’s legacy proud and following in his footsteps, working as a professional actress. She has been active in the film industry since 1994 with her first movie, In Search Of Dr. Seuss.

Now since doing some on-screen film work, she has also dabbled in some voice acting as well. In Transformers: Cyberverse (2018) she voiced the role of Windblade. She’s also part of a TV series that is currently in post-production and also starred in the hit show, Criminal Minds.

Yesterday, in honor of #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, I spoke at the @lovephilosophy #HopeAndGrace Initiative luncheon to hopefully inspire people to ask others #HowAreYouReally. With an estimated 1 in 5 people living with mental illness, ending the stigma around mental health and encouraging honest, supportive conversation is as important now as ever. I'm honored to partner with the The Hope and Grace initiative, who, to date, have donated almost 3 million dollars to mental health charities, including one dear to my heart, @NamiCommunicate. It's funded by @lovephilosophy putting their money where their mouth is and pledging 100% of the proceeds from their special edition body emulsion AND 1% of their net gross from ALL products sold, in any store, forever. What's not to love?! As for how I am, REALLY, I take it day by day. Some days are great. Some days are nearly impossible. But the great days, the fact they can exist at all, make navigating the hard ones that much easier. And when I'm down, I write. Or rock climb. Or Netflix binge with my pups. Anything, to do SOMETHING. This month, join the conversation. Ask those around you. And most important, listen. Because everyone is fighting something, whether you can see it or not. But they shouldn't have to feel like they're fighting it alone. ❤️#partner [photo credit: Michael Bezjian/Wireimage]

Robin Williams named his daughter after Princess Zelda of The Legend of Zelda video game series. Deeming herself an avid video game player, she and her late father were featured in a TV commercial in 2011 for the Nintendo 3DS game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. Additionally, she was the special guest host at the London Zelda Symphony Concert for the 25th anniversary of the Zelda series.

“Excuse me, but have you seen my pants? I seem to have misplaced them… … in the 80s…”

In addition to her film roles and love for her own namesake, she was also named in People magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People issue for 2007. She has also appeared in some music videos as well for artists like Wynter Gordon and bands like Cobra Starship. In regards to her film career, she also starred (and voiced) in popular shows such as Teen Wolf (2013), Dead of Summer (2016), and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2015-16).

Zelda’s net worth is an estimated $2 million, whereas Robin William’s net worth in 2013 was only $130 million due to being on the verge of bankruptcy after two divorces – despite his films grossing a total of over $5.1 billion. While Zelda isn’t necessarily going the same comedic route that her late father did, it’s safe to say she’s enjoying her acting career and pursuing her individual passions.

Three guesses as to what the new movie I’m in, @locatingsilverlake, is all about! (DISCLAIMER: trick question, as I promise you, they’ll all be wrong). I had a blast working on this film, helmed by the delightful @ericbilitch and surrounded by badasses @shuapeck @finnwittrock @heypeeplesitsaubrey @condogg @robbiekay71 @alexia_hall_ & more! So ProTip: If you’d like to guess more accurately, you can always cheat and just go watch it this weekend at @cinequestinc.
