Today, Ferm Living is celebrating its favourite city: Copenhagen (or København as we say in Scandinavian). With a new, special series consisting of an embroidered cushion and tote bag, the Danish brand pay a humble homage to their hometown by showing some of the city’s most iconic places. “Copenhagen has been the most beautiful scene for our development ever since we started, and therefore we now feel that it is time to pay tribute to our hometown,” says founder and creative director, Trine Andersen.

Copenhagen has had a great influence on the brand’s development: the atmosphere, the thriving design scene and the city’s fantastic culture and history. Andersen and her team have handpicked their Copenhagen favourites, which adorn the Copenhagen collection. “There are so many things I love about Copenhagen that it is almost impossible to choose my favourites. But cycling on my bike through town – especially over historic Knippelsbro – is one of my favourite things to do. It gives a feeling of freedom, and from the bridge, you can enjoy the sight of the city. Another favourite thing about Copenhagen is the large selection of smørrebrød, which you can get in a myriad of variants in the many delicious restaurants that pop up all over Copenhagen at the moment,” she says.

The Copenhagen pillow and the tote bag are made of cotton canvas, and the unique embroidered artwork is made by hand with a special embroidery technique that gives the collection a beautiful texture. The collection can be experienced in Ferm LIVING’s showroom, The Home, which is open to visitors this week during 3 Days of Design at their showroom in the heart of Copenhagen.
