A MODERN HYGGE HOME IN NORWAY

The Danish design firm Norm Architects have done it again, just look at this stunning family home they designed in the most picturesque setting.

Located on a majestic hillside facing the Norwegian woods and Mjøsa lake one hour away from Oslo, the Gjøvik house is a modern and minimal cluster house oozing of Hygge. It is a perfect example of a home where cold concrete meets wood and in cozy, warm tones. A lovely contrast to its aesthetic surroundings.

I love the warm wood paneling on the exterior, it compliments the Scandinavian winter landscape. The large windows make you feel like being at one with the surrounding nature.

Wood also is a big feature inside, giving the home a cottage feel. A lovely Scandinavian hideaway with a modern twist.

Wouldn’t you just love to have this view from your workspace out on Mjøsa, Norway’s biggest lake? So peaceful and calm.

And talk about bathroom goals…
