I have been on the hunt for a cozy rug for my sofa area for a while now, so when I was approached by Sukhi and started looking at their selection of beautiful rugs I was so pleased to find the perfect one for my home. Their fairtrade felt ball rugs have the perfect Scandinavian look, they are not only cozy but also eco-friendly, ethical and handcrafted especially for you.
I decided on the minimal Shirisha felt ball rug, with a round shape that fits under my coffee table. It is white with a clean look, complimenting my light wooden floor and the light grey sofa. My rug took about 4 weeks to arrive and was handmade by a lady in Nepal named Mamta Tamang. A lovely detail when it came was the little note showing me who made it, adding a personal touch and making me love the rug even more.
It is so soft and comfy, my little puppy loves laying on it.
I am so happy with the rug, it feels very soft when walking on it and adds a lovely hygge feeling to my cozy corner. Even more so, I was pleased to work with a great company like Sukhi and so excited to showcase the pretty rug and their story with you.
Each felt ball rug is made of hundreds or thousands of little hand-rolled and sun-dried balls of pure wool using only natural dyes. You can see the process in the video below, it is very impressive.
