Don’t we cherish and adore our kids just like what this Song says? Their funny and very amusing look when they try to fight their drowsiness. Their gentle, and meek face while they’re asleep. Their deep breaths as they ride their way to their very own fun land. We’ll do and give everything just to ensure our little angels would get everything they needed – including a good night’s sleep.

1. Amazing grace

John Newton, an English poet, and clergyman wrote this famous song and published it in 1779. It is meant to remind Christians of the grace God has given them. It is probably the most beloved hymn of the last two centuries. Christian parents still use this 200-year-old song to sing their little ones to bed.

Brahms Lullaby or “cradle song” – written by Johannes Brahms was published in 1868. The lyrics of the first verse are from a collection of German folk poems. The melody of this lullaby is one of the most famous and recognizable in the world, and is being used by a lot of parents to sing their babies to sleep. The power and effectiveness of this lullaby are very significant, for even adults nowadays use this as their personal sleep-maker.

 

3. Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Twinkle, twinkle, little star
How I wonder what you are
Up above the world so high
Like a diamond in the sky
Twinkle, twinkle little star
How I wonder what you are

Written by another English poet – Jane Taylor – this classic favorite is transformed into a song from an early 19th-century English poem, formerly titled “The Star.” Most of us only know the 1st verse of this song, but like many other songs for kids, there’s a lot more. The full song contains five verses speaking of the impressive presence of the stars and how it lights the way for travelers during their journey.
