When my brother and I started our company I was fresh out of school and working in the banking industry. We were cleaning carpets in the evening until the business could stand on it’s own two legs. I’ll never forget my mum telling me that she’d spoken to my grandad in Cyprus who couldn’t understand why I’d want to leave banking to become a cleaner. I told her that cleaning carpets may not give me status but it did give me something I’d never find in banking-  job satisfaction.

Washing rugs is only half the job, although watching ugly ducklings transform into beautiful swans is extremely satisfying.
