Savaging Eclipse Phase - the concept

Hi.  Haven't been around much lately, sorry about that!

I have to say Eclipse Phase is the first RPG to really grab me in years; I love the dystopic utopia of the setting and, for me, it was so instantly evocative of Neuromancer (William Gibson) and Old Man's War (John Scalzi) that I wanted to play in it immediately.

Let's be frank - I love the system too. Percentile is my #1 favourite core mechanic.  So why convert to Savage Worlds?  Eclipse Phase has a considerable on-ramp because one has to learn the setting AND the system at the same time, but I do also love Savage Worlds for how it has detail where detail is needed and abstracts the rest.  It should be a fun experiment.

Will it work? Comments are very welcome on that!  I think so; the core mechanics are similar enough that a crossover would be recognisable as both.  Savage Worlds players have access to Sanity rules via Realms of Cthulhu amongst others and a Rep-as-abstract-wealth system should be easy enough to implement, right?

So, I'm trying to convert EC to SW and will document the process here.  Your thoughts are welcome.

(On a side note, I just saw that Realms of Chulhu is available in a bundle at DTRPG that costs LESS than Realms of Chulhu on its own.)
