The Physiological product line from La Roche-Posay is a series of cleansers which are specially formulated to purify and smooth sensitive skin without causing damage to its physiological balance. The products are free of paraben, soap, alcohol and colorants. Further they are pH balanced and contain La Roche-Posay thermal spring water to soothe the skin for optimal tolerance. I have been dabbing a bit into this series and would like to write a bit today about my first find.
I went into the Apothecary to pick up a replacement bottle of my long time love, La Roche-Posay Respectissime Waterproof Eye Make-Up Remover, when I decided to spend some time with the Physiological line. I did a bit of reading in the store to familiarize myself with the series and took home the Ultra-Fine Facial Exfoliating Scrub and the Make-up Remover for normal-combination skin. These were the two products I was needing the most at the time. I will review the make-up remover later on in the month as I would like to spend some more time using it on different make up consistencies. I have been using light fluid foundations so far this summer and doing a review now would mean that I have not given it the full test.
The Physiological Ultra-Fine Scrub is for me, or better said my skin-type, a big winner. Upon application this scrub is very soothing on the skin and sort of retains this cooling aspect thought the usage process. I really do appreciate this coolness on my skin after a long day of stress in the office. But most importantly, this scrub did not irritate my sensitive skin; meaning no burning upon application or red spots thereafter due to the friction of the product on the skin during the exfoliating process. What it did leave behind was nicely exfoliated skin which is soft, smooth and radiant. As my skin is so sensitive, I normally do not apply toner after exfoliating due to stinging. I have no problem applying toner after this scrub. I really look forward to using this in the evening time.
