Travel Adventures of Sunny Girl Scraps!

The past 1 1/2 months of travel have been a blast. Caleb and I have traveled from North Carolina to the Black Hills of South Dakota onto Northern Minnesota. Our trip has been amazing.  But, we missed Mike after we had to send him home at the 2 week point on our trip.

Our travels homeward, started as we began the trek south to St. Charles IL where my cousins live. We followed my parents as the final leg of our journey started.  After an overnight stay in St. Charles, Caleb went on his way with Grandma and Grandpa for 3 whole days without me as they continued to South Bend, IN. Meanwhile, I stayed in Schaumburg, IL for a few days of business related training for my Stampin’ Up! business.  

Falling Hard at the Gathering for Greatness – Chicago

I had an amazing 3 days at the Gathering for Greatness event.  Lisa Pretto and Janet Wakeland knocked this training out of the park.  The focus was on building our businesses, learning from each other and sharing ideas. I’m thankful for the opportunity to attend. I really enjoy investing time into my business and learning from others is so important. 

The Gathering for Greatness event wasn’t without some drama and trauma for me.  Before the event began on Thursday, I decided to get into a tussle with the cement sidewalk and didn’t win!  Concrete is hard!  I hit my head pretty hard which probably resulted in a mild concussion although I refused to go to the hospital.  The right side of my body was really banged up and bruised.  I also had some really nasty road rash.  The Schaumburg Fire Department Paramedics were cute and helped get me patched up.

The Foxy Friends is such a cute stamp set.  You can create so many adorable critters with this stamp set.  I was very disappointed when my Foxy Friends Stamp Set didn’t arrive before I left on vacation.
