Can You Case It? Sketch Challenge 112

Happy Spring to you!  Spring is my favorite season even though I suffer with spring allergies and this year I’m suffering more than usual.  It doesn’t matter though because spring means the weather is starting to change and perfect temperatures have arrived.  I love when the temperatures are between 60 and 75 degrees.  The longer days are also appreciated.  Yes, springtime is my favorite time of year and I especially enjoy the arrival of some of my favorite flowers such as Tulips and Iris’s.

A Grateful Bunch Springtime Welcome!

Since today is the first day of spring, I focused on creating a bright, floral themed card for the Can You Case It? Sketch Challenge 112.  The Grateful Bunch Stamp Set is quickly becoming one of my favorite Occasions Stamp Sets from the Stampin’ Up! 2016 Occasions Catalog.  I love the coordinating punch but I also love how easy the large flower is to fussy cut and I’m NOT one to willing fussy cut stamped images.  Doesn’t this Grateful Bunch Birthday card just brighten your day and make you think about spring?

Following along with the sketch, I stamped the Grateful Bunch leaves with Cucumber Crush then cut it out using the Oval Framelits and added a larger oval of Crushed Curry then I paper pierced the crushed curry to add interest to the background layer.  The large flower from the Grateful Bunch Stamp Set was stamped twice with Crushed Curry then I fussy cut them out, scrunched them for a distressed look and attached to the oval.  Tags attached to the bottom of the oval are from the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack.  I stamped the Happy Birthday from the Sprinkles on Top Stamp Set then used the banner punch to create the banner which is attached across the oval.  One of my favorite new products are the It’s My Party Enamel Dots which I added as the finishing touch to the card.
