We’re going to have some fun this week learning about some new tools. Today, I get to tell you about the SURElight M4T Led Desk Lamp, and later this week, I get to introduce you to handy new tools to help make your sewing experience fun.
When I quilt or work at my cutting table, I frequently have an issue with lighting. I’m constantly turning lights on or off to get the right lighting for what I’m doing at the moment. So when I was asked to try out the SURElight M4T Led Desk Lamp, I was more than happy to give it a try.
After the SURElight M4T LED Desk Lamp was plugged in and turned on, like a child with a new toy, I had to play with it. From the moment it was turned on, I knew this was going to be the lamp for me. Now let me tell you why.
All the light controls are easy to understand, and are easy to reach as they’re located on the lamp’s base. The desk lamp has soft-touch controls, which is a big plus. I’m not kidding when I say that you barely have to touch the buttons for them to work.
A great feature that the SURElight M4T LED Desk Lamp has is that it gives you a total of 20 different light intensities.
This lamp features 4 color temperatures:
- Warm white: good for day to day activities such as reading.
- Natural white: helps you to see colors more accurately, which makes it ideal for quilting.
- Cool white: let’s you see detailed work clearly.
- Pure white: great for working on projects at night as it’s gentle on the eyes.
Along with the 4 color temperatures, the lamp has 5 brightness levels:
- Level A = 100%
- Level B = 90%
- Level C = 70%
- Level D = 50%
- Level E = 20%
With 20 possible settings, the SURElight M4T LED Desk Lamp allows you to adjust it to your comfort level. When you turn the lamp on, it remembers the setting that you previously used.
We all sew differently, and if you’re like me, you also use your work surface in different ways. For this reason the lamp’s flexible head and arm can be adjusted, turned, and tilted 180o.
A great benefit of the SURElight M4T LED Desk Lamp is the lamp’s ability to pivot 90 degrees one way, or 90 degrees the other way.
With the SURElight M4T LED Desk Lamp LED technology, this lamp produces less heat and needs less energy to use than conventional lamps.
It’s lightweight, so it’s a great lamp to bring with you to class or to a retreat.
Although the SURElight M4T LED Desk Lamp is very portable, you should also consider the SURElight M4F LED floor lamp to put next to your quilting chair for those times when you hand quilt or need to add a binding to your quilt. I’ll seriously have to consider getting one.
