Hi bloggers! I have a lovely, serene African Animal card to share with you today. I started with the background and used
Lava Red, Burnt Orange and Straw Yellow Pixie Powders on a piece of
coconut white card. I spritzed them with water to activate and then covered them with a piece of plastic wrap. I scrunched it up, creating some lovely wrinkled areas and left it to dry overnight. I removed it in the morning and it pulled much of the mica up into the wrinkled areas for a really pretty pattern (you can see it nicely in some of the close up pics). Next I cut a square frame using the
Double Stitched Square die set and added mounting foam to the back. I cut a circle out of the centre die from the
Eliza to use as a sun and attached it in the corner of the square, then added it to the centre of the card. I cut the two giraffes from the
African Animal die set out of
black card and glued them inside the frame. Next I cut several of the African trees from the
African Adventure set in the different sizes and glued them around the top of the frame. I added the grass to the lower edge then cut the sentiment and glued it in place between the grass and the frame. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 8 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x
