Best Photo-Ops at Disneyland

Disneyland Park:

Entrance to Disneyland

Who doesn’t love a classic photo in front of the Disneyland train station? This photo spot is a perfect way to start off your trip to The Happiest Place on Earth. This spot also comes with a professional Disney photographer, so you don’t have to worry about trying to take the perfect selfie if you don’t want to. With the beautifully landscaped Mickey backdrop paired and the iconic location, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to take your photos here.

Sleeping Beauty’s Castle

This might be the most iconic photo of them all, but for a good reason. This timeless location will be a photo you cherish for years. Since this is a popular photo spot, I would suggest taking your picture on either side of the castle. This way, you’ll be able to get a perfect picture without having to worry about anyone photo-bombing your picture. Plus, there is usually little to no line on the sides of the castle!

Main Street U.S.A.

Whether you choose to take your picture in front of the colorful buildings or with the long string of ma and pop shops behind you, Main Street U.S.A. is a great way to capture your time at the Disneyland Resort. As a tip, try to find the Cast Member holding all of the Mickey balloons. If you ask nicely, they’ll let you take a photo with all of the balloons, making it a unique and colorful picture that not too many people have.

Matterhorn Mountain

Matterhorn Mountain isn’t a well-known photo spot, but it’s certainly one of my favorites. Disneyland Park is the only place in the WORLD that you can find this iconic attraction. Pair this photo with a famous Matterhorn Macroon, and your friends will be incredibly jealous of how much fun you’re having. Because of this, we think Matterhorn Mountain is one of the best photo-ops at the Disneyland Resort.

Tea Cups

Located in Fantasyland, you can find the Mad Tea Party ride. Not only is this attraction a family favorite, but it’s also the perfect place to get a photo if you’re looking for a pop of color. You can choose to either snap a candid pic of you and your loved ones on the ride or take one before you get on. Either way, this is one of my favorite Disneyland photo spots.

If you’re not “mad” for the Mad Tea Party ride, there is no need to worry! You can still get an adorable photo at the Tea Cup located outside of the Mad Hatter store in Fantasyland. This way, you can get your insta-worthy photo without getting dizzy!

Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse

If you want to take a picture with the one who started it all, you’ll want to make sure you stop by the Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse statue at the end of Main Street U.S.A. So before you choose to go on an adventure in Adventureland or take a journey to the future in Tomorrowland, be sure to take photo with the iconic duo who made Disneyland a reality.

“it’s a small world”

When you ride “it’s a small world”, you’ll not only find that it isn’t just a small world after all, but you’ll be able to see that it’s the perfect location for your next Disneyland photo. On the west side of the attraction near Fantasyland Theater, you can find the perfect bright blue and white wall backdrop. This is the perfect place to show off that it’s a world of laughter, hopes and smiles after all!

Disney California Adventure:

Disney California Adventure Entrance

Since Disney California Adventure opened in 2001, it’s provided guests from around the world with the perfect photo location. Although it no longer has the gigantic California lettering outside, it still is a fun way to document the start of your Disney day. With the bright colors and fun waiting to be experienced behind you, we think that this is one of the top photo-ops at the Disneyland Resort.

Mike and Sulley to the Rescue

This isn’t a well-known photo spot, but with it’s fun colors and character appearances, it certainly should be! Mike and Sulley to the Rescue has one of the most colorful entrances to an attraction in the entire Disneyland Resort. Plus, you might be able to see Sulley and take a photo with the not-so-scary monster the next time you’re there!

Hollywood Blvd.

Next to the Hyperion Theater, you’ll find a “Hollywood” style backdrop that you can take a photo in front of. With a bright blue sky and old-fashioned buildings, people might think you landed a role in the next big Disney film!

Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!

While we were sad about saying goodbye to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction, the new Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! ride is out of this world. With bright colors and mystical features, this location is the ultimate photo spot for any Marvel fan. Plus, you can sometimes get a photo with Groot right outside of the attraction!

Cars Land

The quaint little town of Radiator Springs not only offers entertaining attractions and delicious food, but multiple photo spots for you to take advantage of. Not only can you take a photo by the adorable billboard welcoming you into Cars Land, but you can turn around and take a full-frame picture of Radiator Springs behind you. If you’re lucky, you’ll also be able to get photos with some of your favorite characters like Lightning McQueen and Tow-Mater. Plus, you can also take a scenic picture right outside of Radiator Springs Racers or a thrilling photo while you’re on it. No matter where you choose to get your picture in Cars Land, your pictures are sure to leave everyone saying “Ka-Chow!”

Pixar Pier

Although Pixar Pier doesn’t debut until June 23rd, 2018, we can’t wait for all of the photo opportunities celebrating our favorite Pixar pals. With an iconic entrance, California architecture and appearances from some of your favorite Disney-Pixar characters, you’ll have “Incredible” photos to last a lifetime.
