I think we can all agree that beautiful, welcoming spaces are what we desire for our homes. But how do we accomplish that?  My one rule of thumb when shopping for decor is: if it doesn’t make me happy, I don’t buy it. It’s easy to just buy “fillers”, as I call them…things that fill a space quickly, but aren’t necessarily what you love. This might be a quick fix, but I’ve found that waiting for the perfect piece that you truly ADORE is the way to go. It also saves money in the long run because you won’t be changing out fillers year after year.

So think to yourself…where is that bare Wall (or in my case, WALLS) that have been waiting patiently for their perfect something? My first open space was in our living room, just to the side of our built-in shelves. Nothing ever seemed right for this large open space.

Until now…

Because I believe it’s true…it’ll be over before we know it. Plus it makes me smile thinking about passing this down to my daughter when she has children of her own. What a keepsake!

One more spot that needed a little touch of JSS loving is this wall in our kitchen eating area. This 3D cutout is bold and beautiful….and exactly what I crave for this space. Friends, family, neighbors…all gathered around our table. I’m not a great cook, but I can heat up Papa Murphy’s pizzas like it’s nobody’s business
