Influenced by America’s political climate, “A 3 Minute Hug” is a new immigration documentary coming to Netflix soon. The documentary depicts the interaction between families separated at the US-Mexico border and is filmed by multiple film crews on either side of the border. Hosted by the Border Network for Human Rights, the event featured  the reunification of relatives and loved ones that lasted a mere three minutes. Director Everardo González effectively stated that the event was “positive” and “a political statement.”
