Geocache: Underground TB Hotel

New players mostly do not know what TB stands for and why are TB Hotels so cool and important. Let me start with the TB, that stands for Travel Bug, but in general all trackable items are referred by this abbreviation. TB Hotels are Geocaches, mostly bigger ones in size where multiple TBs can lodge safely. Be aware that not all TB Hotels are equally safe, just like hotels, depending on their neighborhood they can be where you do not want to stay.

TB hotel with 6 rooms
This TB Hotel was in an urban area, at the corner of some parking lot. Really nice little town. When we arrived and read the hint it was trivial where to search, but when saw the entrance below I was not sure why is it a TB Hotel, the entrance itself was not too promising.

Entrance to the TB Hotel
A utility cover, what a great hide. I have one of those myself, but so far I was only thinking of placing a container in it that fits inside, but this hide showed me new possibilities. There is a bigger pipe inside and under, most probably closed on the bottom to keep water out.

The TB Hotel is open now
It had a cap on top of the pipe, which was fitting good, so it wasn't the easiest to take out, but after that pulling the hotel up above ground was easy. As I was pulling it was so fun to see, that the rooms even had numbers on them. On the top there was the container for the log in a pill box.

I had no choice with this geocache, but line up with previous 80+ geocachers and give a FAVO point for the hide. If I find a good location for a similar hide I'll for sure make one of these, and if I do it'll be posted on my blog for sure.

Finding geocaches in residential areas is not always fun, depending on my mood, some times I do not mind meeting other people, but some days you just want to go with your team and find a few geocaches, log them and on the way. It was nothing different this day, we went to pick some fruits at an organic farm, where we had to drive around an hour to get there, then they did not have what we wanted to pick but we found something else to make jam out of. It also started to rain, but only light, and my blood sugar level started to drop, so this day I was not in to some chatting with other geocachers. But it was our lucky day and a quick find.

Many thanks to the CO for this great hide.
